The National People’s Power (NPP) received over 20% of the votes cast in the Vanni District during the 2024 General Election, according to the final results announced by the Sri Lankan Election Commission.

The district was won by the NPP with 39,894 votes, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 32,232 votes (16.45%).

In light of this, the NPP has won two seats in the district, while the SJB, ITAK, DTNA, and SLLP have each won one seat.
