The National People’s Power (NPP) received almost 41% of the votes cast in the Nuwara Eliya District during the 2024 General Election, according to the final results announced by the Election Commission.

The NPP won the district with 161,167 votes, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 53,200 votes (26.21%).

As a result, the NPP received five seats in the district, the SJB received two, and the UNP received one.
