President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Power (NPP), expressed his strong belief that the victory of the NPP in the upcoming election will be irreversible, no matter the circumstances.

He stated that the people of this country would ensure that the party’s success cannot be undone, and that they would deliver the highest possible victory for the NPP. Dissanayake also expressed optimism that the NPP would secure a great victory, not only in the South but, also in the North-East, which he views as an important region for the party’s growth this time around.

Meanwhile, the NPP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, Harini Amarasuriya, urged the public to seize the opportunity to reorganise the country and move away from the corruption that has plagued the political system for so long. She encouraged voters to go to the polling stations and cast their votes on election day, stressing the importance of this election as a first step towards achieving a political system free from corruption.

Amarasuriya reaffirmed that her party’s main goal is to eradicate the corrupt political culture that has existed throughout the country’s history. She made it clear that once the election is over, there will be no place for corrupt politics under any circumstances. Amarasuriya concluded by stating that the NPP respects the trust that the people have placed in them at all times and assured the public that the party will not let them down. The NPP, she said, would remain steadfast in their responsibility to the people and would not abandon the faith they have placed in the party.
